went out on saturday night! :D hhahas. was still gaming when shiyun deardear called me and asked me to go bugis :D so pooffff. off i went. met up with shixuan and szegee as well. :D and surprisingly, there came an empty train during peak hours for us.

shoved through crowded streets of bugis and i could almost remember which street is which street in bugis. LOL. then shixuan was like saying : eh jaslin, you come bugis how many times alr ah. LOl.

most of us bought stuffs except for szegee! as usual laa. hahah. he come out pei shixuan only. i bought one brown tanktop, white tee and a white hoodie! you wont believe the price of the hoodie luh. LOL. shixuan was also tempted to buy the hoodie and i psychoed him to buy in the end as well. HAHAs.

then we were like saying : ehh, bring to chalet wear ar!

okay the hoodie is darn big on me, but i like! :D

continued to walk around before we trained home at 10pm. :D ah thats about it. hmmm.

and as for today, work is so tiring! all the parents came flooding into the bookshop today to buy books. and its like i've to help everyone of them to get books, pack, etc etc. i even worked overtime! and from 9am to 3.30pm, i hardly get to sit down and rest other than lunch time. ):

anyways, headed for bugis street again today as i wanted to change the color of the tanktop i bought! but the person die die dowan change for me cause i didnt bring down their plastic bag. .________. wasted trip! argh. walked around but still didnt see any thing that i wanted. =\


i dont know what the hell happened to my brain, that i hopped on bus 851 to come back! gosh. its like oh-so-packed, and i have to stand throughout the journey. i even fell asleep and knocked into the glass panel. oopppps. ok la.. not very hard. LOL.

so from 9am till like 6pm, i didnt get to sit down other than a half an hour lunchtime. hahah. work tomorrow again! (:

well, christmas didnt came with much activities this year for me. i countdown at home with my bro at home. LOL. and on xmas day, planned to visit my grandma with my mum one. who knows, before i even woke up, my mum already left the house. LOL.

was gaming halfway when shaun smsed me. HAHA. ok la! i know i got no life. LOL. and shaun repeatedly says he cant believe im staying at home. LOL. who knows, we decided to go out for movie! :D watched twilight. like oh-so-finally. wanted to run a movie marathon with shaun and inez, where we'd catch Yes Man after twilight. but inez was tired, so nevermindd then. :D


it kinds of feels great going out with both of them. with the frequent teasing and everything. hahaha. unlike going out with others, i'll usually have to watch my behavior and try to be DEMURE, or if i go out with guys, i'd have to take note of my actions so as not to give the other party the wrong message or something. STRESS YOU KNOW!

but when it comes to going with them, nothing to worry one. LOL. i can be as chor-lor as i want and no worries about giving people wrong message or blah. haha. just like, being myself. :D


ohya speaking of Twilight, i guess i have no need to give the review or anything, as i guess im among the later ones who caught this movie. as im a twilight fan, i admit (LOL), my views about the movie will be completely biased laa! so no need to say. (okay actually im lazy as well)

the movie skipped quite alot of details and etc. a lil tad bit disappointed. but i suggest you read the novel before watching, else you'd have a hard time figuring what they're doing. they seemed to talk super fast that i can hardly catch up with their conversations! okay, i rate it 4/5! :D

you know, yesterday was so drama-mama for me. as i took 2hours++ to reach her chalet! in short, I TRAVELLED the whole of Singapore yesterday. serious, except for chinese garden, boonlay, simei and changi.

as my work ended at 3pm, i decided to make my way there myself. since nic and others were meeting at yishun. so, dumb ass me, i thought that her chalet would either be at coastasands/aloha, so i didnt bothered to ask where it is,

and i trained from commonwealth mrt to pasir ris mrt station! from far west to far east. pro huh. train ride took me an hour. so when i reach pasir ris, i got out of the mrt and called clarlynn. who knows, her chalet is at Goldkist! east coast park that side. dengggg.

i could have got off at dhoby ghaurt and bused there. roarr. so nvmm. i trained to bedok (-.-) and searched for this bus 401. i went to the right side of the mrt station (whr interchange is a short walk from there), i couldnt find the bus at the bustop below. so.. i walked back to mrt and went to the other side.


also cannot find!! and the thought of walking back to the other side (have to walk past mrt again) to find the interchange tires me. and in the end, i cabbed there. LOL. by the time i reached her chalet it's 5++pm already. LOL.

yes this chalet. took me in circles around and around the east and west of sg -.-

stayed around for bbq and ban-luck till 9.30 like that before we went home. ): no cake-cutting, cause clarlynn was still waiting for her cousin. oh wells, nvm thennn. :D and the ban-luck, make me so angry! LOL. you know why? cause played alot rounds, and its like, for me still NO WIN NO LOSE! back to my original $3.50 despite playing 50cents per round.

and if im not wrong, clinton(should be) lost almost 8bucks. LOL. okay so in the end, i lost a dollar. hmm hmmms. anyways, took bus to dhoby ghaurt and trained back. took 2 hours as well. LOL. reached home at 11.30 like that.


see, i travelled the whole of sg today (: hahah. you know, i left the comp on and went to sleep ytd night again. gosh.


i had a weird dream ytd. i dreamed of my PA friends. some of my friends and even my online friends. LOL. but it wasnt a pleasant dream either. =\

and anyways, for ytd, after my work, i was intending to meet up with fabian at yishun safra to play pool. and since its so near my house, i just brought my fbt to change after my work, and im lazy to dress up that day. so i just wore my oversized dance tee to work. LOl.

who knows when i was heading back to yishun, that dumb fabian ask me go town. ROAR! i was still saying how casual i wore and i didnt feel like going town. he didnt even tell me beforehand! then ltr i say i dont want go already then he super angry. HAHA. ok laaa. then in the end, after negotiations, we decided to go Amk play. -.-

but then.. dance tee with fbt and a big bag to amk also very throw face laa! ended up i have to rush home, change then rush down to amk again. zzz~

met up with fabian, shawn and another 2 of their friends at kpool. darnnnn, i lost quite a few games! and that stupid fabian. i let him won cause i accidently pocket in the black ball. =.= ok la, but the last game when we played a bet, i won! hahahah. he called me noooob! stupid noob. LOl.

played til around 7 before we headed back yishun! (: walked around the night market there. saw one top which im super tempted to buyyyy! goshh. bought a few stuffs before heading home. hehs.

okay anyways, there's seriously something to get off my chest! i've been like argueing with my mum pretty often nowadays over the matter of POLY or JC. crap. all my relatives are trying to brainwash me! cant you guys just leave me a choice to choose which path i want to take in my life?

im super pissed off. YES, MY FINAL GOAL IS A UNI, but it doesnt means i cant get into uni from a poly! just days back, my mum found my bro's JAE book (years ago) where she came across a line something like this : "For O lvl graduates who scored 12 points or less for their L1R5, and wishes to go to University, it is most advisable to choose a JC"

so, whoopie whoopie, JC, JC. what's the big deal? i dont understand. at any given opportunity, she'll start saying about the H2 subjects and H1 subjects, taking which subject and everything. like as if im dead set for a JC.

even at work, my aunt is trying to brainwash me. everyone is. at lunch hours, she'll tell me jc and blahhhh~ saying what poly is a total mixture of good and bad apples and BLAH. since my uncle is teaching at NP.


and back to my whole family tree. my relatives just kept saying the same line to me. " Girl ah, must go JC okay? go JC then can go UNI easier. Must help the girls to "zheng yi kou qi" ah."

yea. i dont know if i should rejoice or what, im the eldest girl in the whole family tree yea. my eldest cousin had already graduated from Uni. and so, no girls had yet to got into any university. so there there i am. i am to shoulder the responsibility of helping the girls to "zheng yi kou qi". ok i dont know how to translate.

as it appears that im still the brainy granddaughter so FAR. i have alot of super young cousins.

so yea. as im heading for 17 next year, i still seemed like a 5year old kid who doesnt know how to make choices in their eyes. okay, i know they're concerned. but, at least let me have the right to choose?

i know where's my goal.


Im NOT saying that i simply detest the idea of a junior college to the core, neither did i say i am NOT going to get into a JC. i just hate the idea of people constricting my choices, my freedom. this mean alot to me.

i know what's best for me myself, as i myself would want to go to a university. that had always been my goal ever since i started my kindergarten when i was 5years old.

im considering and weighing both JC and poly in my mind. but can you just please please let me even choose for myself? the more you're restricting me from heading to a poly, the more i WANT. its like a spring. you have to handle it well. so even if i chose a JC by then, and IF i did badly, i wouldnt be putting the blame on you. cause that was what i CHOSE. that was what i WANTED.


i know about the competitiveness im gonna face if i chose the Poly route. but if i were to choose a poly, how sure are you that i wouldnt get into a uni? how sure are you that i will fare badly? how sure are you that i'll go wild? how sure are u that poly is a place for people who doesnt know how to study?

Irritated. what era are we in now? yes you may say your thoughts are much more open minded. but i DONT think so.


time and time again, how many people have said that poly and jc have changed much over time? Poly are no longer schools solely for those who cant get into a JC. Poly are no longer schools solely for people who cant study? have you ever went to see the courses where cut off points are as low as a single digit?


i've asked you to attend talks organised by schools about JC and Poly. yet time and again you didnt want. yet now, you're still giving me all this old fashioned thinking. i dont care about the first impressions that im gonna give people when i say im a jc or poly student.


you kept mumbling about the impressions which im gonna give people. but i DONT care. as long as i get the grades i want, im successful in my own way. i dont study just to satisfy people, just to give people good IMPRESSIONS. i study and strive for what i want in life.




the results are mine. the route which im gonna walk would be mine. even if i fell, i have nobody to blame for, cause that's the way i wanted.

you're just simply denying the facts. plain biased. its pissing me OFF, totally. all u know are just the cons of poly, and just the pros of a JC. how about turning things round? there are more and more places offered in the uni for poly students, and in poly, you get to learn skills which you may fall back on in time. while in JC, yes the percentage of people going to uni is high, but have u ever noticed the number of people retained in their JC years?


and there was this auntie who mentioned that her neighbour's son, did badly in JC. and ended up wasting to 2 years as he continued his studies in a poly after JC.

have you ever took note of the newspaper and forums? how many university graduates who didnt score well cant even land their ass on a job? they dont have outstanding results, just an A lvl certificate. but face it, an A lvl cert cant get u far other than a place in uni.


all my point is, im not trying to argue with u that i AM going to poly and NOT to jc. i may be heading for JC. all im asking from you is to leave me with my choices. its not like you dont know me at all. i hate to have people constricting me.


i hate constrictions. i detest them.
i jolly well know what im doing. im no longer your that ignorant girl in her adolescent years.

hahah. finally, a sound system for my computer~ *jumps about my room. you know, i've been using my pathetic speakers from my monitor for almost a year! and whatever music which was played sounded so DEAD.

so yesterday, i was still pondering what i should get for my very belated birthday present from my dad. and so i decided - i want a sound system like the one which my brother has!


who knows, this morning when i woke up. my bro was like asking me to accompany him to go down to suntec, as he wanted a new sound system and speakers. and maybe he would pass me his current one. WAHAHA. :DDD not bad, i accompany him to suntec, to and fro by cab! :D my bro macam so rich.

but its good when my bro's feeling generous. LOL. now im simply loving my sound system. especially when the speakers are for bass! :D happy!

meow. LOL. went to Yishun Avenue 2 there de coffeeshop. or rather, the Thai Cuisine place laa. hahah. as usual crowded with people. and my mum felt generous today and so brought us there for dinner. by cab again! LOL. my family members are feeling generous. hmm hmmms.

anyways, saw quite a few cchyians there working part time as waiters. hehs. and i was trying to peel of the prawn shell, when i dropped the prawn on the floor. -.- beside me. hehs, chor lor. cant blame.

and my mum was like saying : "Later the cats come then you die ah."

who knows as i ate halfway, a cat really came to eat it. and sat beside me, looking at me. HAHA. my mum nearly freaked out. cause she's scared that it might scratch her or something. but its uber cuteee. kept looking at me then meow meow meow.

opps. sorry for viewing the same old post when u guys came over the past one or two days! was really really tired and i left my comp on for the past three nights! cause i fell asleep infront of the computer! =x ok this month's electricity bill's gonna explode. cause my lights were on too!

you know, its the first time during the holidays that im DYING for the day and week to pass faster. cause of the job! its like morning pass very fast. but after my lunch hour, im looking up to the clock on the wall every 15~30 minutes. LOL. cause there isnt any customer!


anyways, i got chided to smsing during work. so if i didnt reply ur messages dont blame me! =x ok la anyway, shixuan smsed me to go to his cousin's xmas party at bukitbatok at night. with my usual clique laaa. ((:

okay i went out with shiyun deardear, kaiting, deyi, shixuan, szegee and junfei. (:

and cause i had work till three and i have to rush home from commonwealth to bathe and etc, i was late laa. so met them at the condo there. [Hillgate, if im not wrong] and it turned out to be the fact that this party was Shixuan's cousin's friend's party instead of his cousin's party. and so that night i went to my friend's cousin's friend's party. LOL.

and it seemed like a fact that i've been running from north to west and west to north very frequently nowadays -.- anyways, the party started once everyone was here. if im not wrong its a party organised by some of his church friends, and there wasnt a single adult present ytd :D


the party was rather christian-like. and the people who came, came from different parts of singapore laa. cause they're just church friends. hahah. first time i attended a party like this. started off with some ice-breaking games and dinnered!






everyone started to mingle around. all of them were very friendly :D anyways, their food was pretty nice i would say :D just some homecooked food which they brought. (: and we all chatted with them like where to go after collecting Os, etc etc. like getting to know each other laa (:

ok kaiting made this for shiyun and me. :D

shixuan should thank me for taking an emo pict for him. LOL. i was trying to snap kaiting and its only when i got home, i realised that shixuan looked so emo. haha!

deyi the turkey man. LOL. he took lots of turkey for us laa! ended up that each of us only took a piece or two. hehs.

following up was some xmas caroling and singing of songs. and since they're mostly christian songs, just followed them anyhow sing. :x afterall the lyrics which they wrote on a board was too smallllll.

so after a song or two, did some xmas gift exchange. ((: they had an interesting way of exchanging gifts. hehs. okay i got cookies again. xD

and subsequently, we broke off into groups of guys and girls, and some of them shared their experience on how God have and had touched their lives. some were quite touching you know, like how God had helped them to walk out of their adolecent and dark lives which they use to led. how they felt that God was real.

FIRST DAY OF WORK!



no laaa. the bookstore/shop im working at is not as exaggerating. LOL.

haha. met up with my aunt at commonwealth (yes i know it IS far) and walked to the school. so there i am at the bookshop of Anglo-Chinese International school. haha. gosh, all their classrooms is like air-conditioned lo! heard that their school fees per month is like a thousand bucks.

school for the rich. hmm hmmmmms.

okay okay. back to topic! their bookshop isnt like those normal school bookshops (take cchy as a good example). in fact, they have a mini Popular bookstore! everything inside looks like Popular lor, (ok im talking crap) just that its a smaller version.


worked just 6hours today! :D and it will gonna be 6hours for the rest of the week. but then.. its tiring! cause today i did mainly unpacking, checking the list, and arranging! gosh. i didnt knew, that 28 CARTONS of books were waiting for me (& my aunt) to unpack. ==


then i had to arrange this shelf full of malay and tamil books. ahhh. hard to arrange, cause on the whole book, there's only 3 english words to indicate what book it is lols.

there isnt a single parent coming here to buy the textbooks for their kids. no one else except a guy who came in to buy sweets and a guy who delivered books. LOL.

you know, within my first hour of work, I BROKE MY NAIL! ahhhh. darn sad can! guess sooner or later the rest of my nails are gonna break too. and within the first 3 hours of work, i sliced my finger (by the edges), accidentally hit my arm against the stacks of books, and stained my hands with red marker until it looked like i was bleeding or what. LOL. (i have to make marking on the boxes, cant blame!)

this is the perfect reason why i would prefer to do sales.

anyways, accompanied darlinq for hair extensions! ((: she did 30 strands like me. heard that clarrie may be doing hair extensions tmr. hahah. i think im like a regular customer, cause the person who did my extensions saw me 3 times in the shop. LOL.

now we have longggg hair! :D it suddenly seems to me that my previous length was short! ahh, whatever. hahaha. walked around far east in dismay. cause either the things there are too expensive, or there's nothing that caught our eye.

darlinq was mentioning bugis sells nicer clothes. so i decided to head for bugis! it wasnt bad a choice, cause darlinq bought her wallet and some tops, while i managed to buy a dress, blacktop, and a hand accessory. :DD its been long since i ever shopppped, okay!


dinnered at pastamania before we headed home! (: wanted to have my haircut but its closed alr. T.T tomorrow then. although my mum strongly forbids me on cutting my hair.

went down to the condo's function room after winning 7 bucks from mahjonging. hahaha. since some of us didnt bring clothes, we decided to play pool instead of swimming.

sadly, this condo doesnt have any pool table! its just BILLARD. billard table with billard balls. hmmms, i dont know how to play billard and its like, half sian already. but.. i took this opportunity to learn how to play!


eh, is it beginner's luck or something. i was the big winner for the first round. (4 players), finishing off with 60++ points. hey, im new a billard ok!
who knows for the second round, i was the big loser. LOL. i finished off with just 40 points. boohoo. ok nvm. i know how to play billard now :DD i got compliments that my pool skills improved! :DDDDD

and by the time we finish billard, its already 10. so slacked around awhile before i gotta rush home. its always me! cause i have a curfew. at an age of 16, hitting 17. ahh crap. i missed the cake cutting thing, and its super sad! no cake to eat. LOL.

A passionate kiss ruptured a young woman's eardrum in southern China, state media reported Monday, in what has been dubbed the "kiss of deaf".

The 20-something girl from Zhuhai city in Guangdong province was treated by hospital doctors after completely losing the hearing in her left ear, the China Daily reported, citing the Guangzhou Daily.

"The kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear," the treating doctor, surnamed Li, was quoted as saying, adding the woman's hearing would likely recover in about two months.

The incident prompted newspapers to dispense kissing safety advice.
While kissing is normally very safe, doctors urge people to proceed with caution, the China Daily reported.


"A strong kiss may cause an imbalance in air pressure between the two inner ears and lead to a broken ear drum," said the English-language Shanghai Daily in a story headlined "Kiss of deaf."

well actually its just a small gathering. bbq for no special occasion. hehs. and since she said her house isnt too big, she just invited 12 people! hahah. just between our clique and some guys from our class. :D

met up along the way on the bus 169 and went over to her house! who knows when we alighted at the bustop.. it started to drizzle. and it became a DOWNPOUR! heavy rain, you know. and worse still. since her house is at springleaf avenue there (lotsa bungalows), we turned at the wrong corner and ended up walking one BIG round back!


yea, so ended up 6 of us drenched in the rain. LOL. chijie was more funny. we went to the wrong side ma. then in the rain and infront of other people's houses,

he shouted " KAITING! NI ZAI NA LI ?! " which means where are u laa. hahahah. laughed like hell. :x cause there's no way she could hear us :x

and while the guys was sweating and trying to start a fire,...

another day at home! but im gonna be so busy over the next 2 days!

nothing much for the day, just that i went to do eyebrow threading! (:

hmms, i guess that's not very new coming from someone so vain. *grins. well, i've been wanting to do it way way before my O lvls even started. but just because my mum forbids it, i waited for O lvls to end first!

but who knows, she still didnt give the green light after my exams. -.- saying that changing one's eyebrow shape can affect alot of things, but i dont see any logic in her explanation. so.. i went to do without my mum's consent. LOL.

oh wells, look. she didnt allow me to rebond my hair in the first place. but i did. 2 times, in fact. and she has yet to realise. LOL. i just pull it off with the fact that i did extensions and blah. now now i've done my eyebrow threading. and she've yet to realise it too. haha!


anyways, im sure you girls wanna ask : IS IT PAINFUL?!

er for my case, it wasnt in the least painful. if im not wrong, there are two ways of eyebrow threading. one way is by the traditional plucking (with some strings). the auntie said that if i were to do that way, it would be painful. so she say she'll help me by another way. haha!

well it involves using a small blade to "shave" (is this even the right word?!) and shape it. feeling is like someone using a brush to brush ur eyebrows. (: now i have well defined eyebrows! ♥


oh by the way. i did it at a salon which is just a few blocks away from my house. oh and talking about this, my neighborhood's 12th female salon just opened! hey, i went to count!

actually planned to go for an interview with anne. but oh wells, was told to stay at home. ):

well, i know many of you are going to rebutt me on this. pointing to news on how crazy jc students became when it comes to celebrating each other's 18th birthdays.

but you got to agree with that with paperworks, tuitions and textbooks weighing down on jc guys, their brain is like being brainwashed, with mathematical formulas, concepts and knowledge filled in. well, i dont know how to put this through, but in contrast to poly guys, their mind is like abit "dead".



Number 4 : JC have more decent guys.


once again, im also not saying that poly doesnt have a single guy who's decent. but just that more of JC guys are decent. we girls certainly do not like a guy, whose words are just greeting people's parents all of the time.

a smart and decent chap would totally blow we girls off our feets, rather than a guy who just know how to spend his day staring into the mirror or the computer screen. (:



now,.. for the burning question in each of you guys' mind!

if you meant specs, it would preferably be these than those geeky kinds one. (not unless if you're going for a geeky look for the day.) for this question, there isnt any definite answer as different people gives a different feel when they are / arent in specs.

but again, natural beauty is the best. if you have it, flaunt it. if you think that wearing contact lenses would make u better looking, then grab urself a pair. however, back to the topic again, some guys DO look more attractive in glasses (:

Skinnies or Jeans for guys?

haha, this picture was just grabbed somewhere from a blogshop. lol. so yeap, im not going to beat around the bush for this. Skinnies are NOT RECOMMENDED for guys.

common comments you'll see / hear would be that it looks GAY. i know skinnies tend to be in trend (especially in singapore) and worse still, among the guys. search the net and you'll seldom see guys wearing skinnies. (im refering to countries like europe, uk and japan)

unless your body is well proportioned and the fabric isnt wrapped tightly around ur thighs, drop the skinnies. i mean, for girls, its still okay. since skinnies were designed for ladies in the first place.

worse still, is when the skinnies the guy wore is of bright colours like yellow, red, green or striking blue. black and white are at least, somewhat acceptable. but not those bright colours. i've just been to the arcade days back and i saw one guy wearing skinnies, with one side black, the other side red. totally turns we girls off, seriously.

i mean, why not try bermudas or jeans. as for me, personally, guys tend to look better in straightcut/ jeans, paired off with a nice belt or a nice silver chain.

and when i say jeans are much prefered, i just cant fathom the fact that why SOME of the guys like to wear their jeans/shorts so low, until its like they're gonna drop off their hip once they jump or something. a total big no no!



Do girls like guys with long hair?

well, this is yet another topic which answer differs from guy to guy. no doubt, guys do look better with longer sideburns. but if you meant those long hair which some caucasians sport at the back of their head, i guess it isnt the "in" thing huh.

but if you meant FRINGES, some guys look better, some guys dont. instead, awful. you're born with 2 eyes, 1 nose and 1mouth. why make youself look as if all you have is just one eye, half a nose and a mouth. we girls seriously dont get it.

if you think you urself have eyes which aint pretty and you're trying to cover them with ur hair, all i can say is, it doesnt make u look better. make u look worse. time to get a haircut, buddy.

although long fringes suit some people, it doesnt mean it suit EVERYBODY. i've viewed quite a few people's profiles on friendster. (guy's) i found out that those with super long fringes now, they actually DO look better with short hair. (as seen from their secondary school's pictures)

as from a girl's pov, just keep your hair length (at the back of ur neck) no longer than your shoulder length. its seriously..ugly. im gonna be straight to point. why not, try something like...
